About Gentry Academy

Gentry Academy was founded on the belief of providing excellence in academics, leadership and athletics.

We don’t aspire to be a “great big” school, only a great school. Due to limited class sizes and a rigorous admissions process, attending Gentry Academy is an elite opportunity not afforded to every student. Your child deserves not only the best opportunities to learn and grow but should also enjoy the advantage of being surrounded by highly-skilled peers who will simultaneously challenge and support them.

Your child is presented with the powerful opportunity to learn in a traditional classroom setting that is integrated with the highest-caliber leadership and athletic training.

During these critical years, we believe it is important to also mold character, leadership and a commitment to excellence. Our unique mentoring approach to learning encourages older students to be actively involved in the development of their younger peers.

So much of your student-athlete’s future depends on decisions you make today, and today you can make a positive change by applying for admission to Gentry Academy.

Our beautiful new facility located in Vadnais Heights affords students individual classrooms with a student/teacher ratio that will never exceed 20:1 to ensure a higher lever of learning.

The athletic programs that require ice, turf and golf will be provided through Gentry Academy’s partnership with Vadnais Sports Center, Keller Golf Course and other Ramsey County facilities.

Gentry Culture

As children grow and mature, they become a sum total of their experiences and relationships – the families they were raised by, the communities they have lived in and the friends they have gone to school with.

To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, ‘Culture isn’t the most important thing ... it’s the only thing.’

The culture of a community isn’t easy to quantify or explain – but you know it when you see it. It is the foundation of everything Gentry is and aspires to be – without the right culture, success isn’t just difficult, it’s impossible.

You know it when you see the students pull together to accomplish a project. You know it when you see classmates take time to help one another through a challenging time or embracing someone’s differences. You see it when they celebrate victory together – or grow through adversity or defeat. It’s truly learning how to become a compassionate and humble leader by understanding that by lifting up those around you, you too will rise up.

Culture is the common factor that affects every aspect of a Gentry student’s development. At Gentry, we have taken great care to nurture the right kind of culture that allows our students to be challenged and supported and to develop the traits and values they need for success.
